Travel.se and BEAT have joined forces. And how! Together with Christian, a local guide in Falun, we have created the perfect long winter weekend. We had been toying with the idea of organizing skating trips for a while, inspired by the great popularity of skating. We chose a location where you are guaranteed to find ice: Falun, Sweden.

But this trip is about more than just skating. The program is packed with activities that will fully immerse you in the Swedish winter: from a snowshoe hike and outdoor fika to a sauna and cooking over an open fire with local products. Everything is designed to offer an unforgettable winter experience.

‍
To make the most of the daylight and favorable weather conditions, we offer two long weekends at the beginning of each year. Join us and experience the ultimate winter weekend in Falun, Sweden – a perfect mix of nature, culture, and adventure.

Whether you are new to ski touring or already have some experience, this trip is all about spending a few days in the mountains with a group of like-minded adventurers, led by a certified local mountain guide.

We will be staying in Arolla, Switzerland. This small, authentic mountain village is located in the heart of one of the most beautiful ski touring areas in the Alps. From Arolla, we will head out each day on a new route, in search of the best snow and the most stunning views.

We will spend three nights at the Hotel Kurhaus, a ski-in/ski-out hotel nestled among ancient alpine pines, right on the Haute Route. On the third night, we will trade the comfort of the hotel for a stay at altitude. We will take an overnight ski tour to the Cabane de Bertol, a spectacular mountain hut at an altitude of 3,311 meters, reached via fixed ladders. It is a true high-alpine experience, offering the silence and views you only find above 3,000 meters.

Whatever your level, your guide will lead the way and share their knowledge of safety, technique, and the best lines along the route. During this trip, you will not only discover the area but also develop your own skills and confidence in the mountains.

From May 18 to 25, 2027, we will head deep into the High Arctic for an unforgettable week where ski touring, sailing, and the pristine wilderness of Svalbard come together aboard the expedition schooner Ocean Sherpa.

This trip takes you through a landscape unlike anything you will find in the Alps. We start in Longyearbyen, Svalbard's main settlement, where we will conduct a thorough gear check before boarding the Ocean Sherpa. From there, we sail north into the fjords around Ny-Ålesund and Kongsfjorden. Throughout the week, the ship serves as our mobile base camp for glacier treks, wildlife spotting, and a special night on the ice under the midnight sun.

Throughout the week, our experienced guides and the Ocean Sherpa crew will support you with everything involved in an Arctic adventure. From route planning and ice and polar bear safety to reading the terrain and choosing the best line of the day, we handle the logistics so you can focus entirely on the skiing and the surroundings.

Expect impressive glacier landscapes, wildlife that few people ever get to see this close, a tight-knit group of fellow travelers, and a shared experience you can only get during a week at the edge of the map.

A group of adventurers with one mission: to spend the night at Capanna Margherita, the highest mountain hut in the Alps at an altitude of 4,554 meters. In our opinion, one of the most breathtaking places in Europe.

We start in Alagna Valsesia, a mountain village that breathes mountaineering. From there, we gradually climb higher to acclimatize to the altitude. Along the way, we stay in charming mountain huts, each at a new altitude and with increasingly impressive views. We will sleep consecutively at Hut Zar Senni (1,664 m), Oreste (2,625 m), and finally Gnifetti (3,647 m), moving step by step higher into the mountains.

Then the grand finale awaits: the climb to the summit, where the Capanna Margherita has been perched on a dizzying 2 km high ridge since 1887. Here, we will experience the most magical sunrise and sunset in the Alps.

On day five, we return. A final cup of coffee at Gnifetti and then heading home. This will be an adventure to never forget. Are you ready?

During this trip, you will discover two of the most iconic locations in the Swiss Alps. We start in Verbier, our base for the first few days of training and technique. We will also spend one night in the mountains at the Cabane Mont Fort. From there, we travel to Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn, for final preparations and, of course, the Ultraks race itself.

Whatever your pace, our experienced team will guide you every step of the way. From using trail running poles and pacing to nutrition and your race-day mindset, we ensure you arrive at the start line fully prepared, both physically and mentally.

Expect stunning trails through two legendary Alpine regions, a group of enthusiastic fellow runners, and the sense of shared achievement that only a race day can bring.

In March 2028, we are heading back to Sweden for one of the most iconic sporting challenges in the world: the Vasaloppet. A 90-kilometer cross-country ski race with 15,000 participants from Sälen to Mora, through snow-covered forests and rolling hills, alongside thousands of others sharing the same goal: reaching the finish line.

Whether you are an experienced cross-country skier or have never been on skis before, this trip is all about perseverance, teamwork, and experiencing something unique. Team BEAT will support you mentally and physically as you prepare for this challenge through training programs and an intake interview with experts. We have, of course, completed the 90 kilometers ourselves (in 2025)! Your support team will be there for you along the way with hot tea, snacks, and encouragement. The route is tough and the checkpoints are strict, but the sense of accomplishment is immense.

During this multi-day trip, we provide thorough preparation, coaching, and a luxury chalet with a sauna, jacuzzi, and an incredible view, ensuring you are well-rested before taking on the challenge. Get ready to glide through the magical white Swedish landscape and finish under candlelight at the Mora arch.

Are you up for the challenge in 2028? Sign up for this once-in-a-lifetime adventure. If you would like to organize this for your own group or company, that is also possible.

You can send a message to info@beat-expeditions.com.

The Patrouille des Glaciers is not a race you just show up for. You start in the middle of the night and traverse challenging high-alpine terrain. From the first kilometer to the finish line, your fitness, mountain experience, technique, and mental resilience will be put to the test. To participate, you need extensive ski touring experience and a very high level of fitness. This is a serious mountain race, not an introduction to the sport.

BEAT helps you arrive at the start line well-prepared. Whether you already have a complete team of three or are still looking for a teammate, we will create a personalized training program that matches your level, advise you on equipment, and help you determine a smart strategy for race day.

Your preparation culminates in a three-day training weekend around Arolla, Switzerland. Here, we put the skills from your training into practice in the mountains and rehearse the techniques you will need during the race. Together with a group of other athletes working toward the same goal, you will focus on getting ready for the start.

Are you already planning to register? Join us anyway. BEAT helps you assemble your team, connects you with an experienced guide, and streamlines the registration process. This ensures that on race day, you are not just registered, but also fully prepared to start.

This is a unique opportunity to test yourself, push your limits, and achieve a legendary performance with your team. We hope to see you in 2028!
